IP adresses freed from authentication
Usage Allow-listing certain IP addresses may be useful - for example - when you use an external service to manage your websites from a dashboard, such as ManageWP and WP Engine's Smart Plugin Updater.
If the list is not empty, WPO365 will - on every request - compare the remote IP address (of the client) with the IP addresses added to this list. If the remote address is matching with one of the entries in this list, WPO365 will skip authentication.
| Please note WPO365 uses $_SERVER['remote_addr'] to determine the client's IP address, since this is the only value that cannot be changed / spoofed. It's important to note that the remote address might not represent the actual client IP address when it's behind a reverse proxy or a similar device. |
